WHERE IT BEGAN
Now located on the Gold Coast, I’ve spent the last 15 years building an impressive portfolio through both education and experience.
My passion for design started from the moment I could hold a pencil. My first experience was working alongside my dad with his business, Gisborne Trimworks, creating custom automotive and marine upholstery. I gained a tremendous amount knowledge and skill in this field in which I still implement to this day.
A natural talent, I navigated school receiving copious amounts of honors, awards and was even invited to exhibit my work from Melbourne to Sydney across the years. From 2007 to 2010 I volunteered at a local newspaper, gaining experience that would soon eventuate to the successful completion of a qualification in Printing & Graphic Arts through RMIT, all while still being employed with Echuca Signs and Designs. In this time, I gained abilities in vinyl wrapping and exceeding expectations I was appointed lead designer and print manager. During this journey, I got to work with a number of fantastic companies, one of these being a placement at RacePaint Custom Paint Studio, Melbourne.
In 2011, with the completion of the above certification, I was awarded School Based Apprentice of the Year. This led to being invited to be the guest speaker at many events. I also made the move to Corowa, NSW, to start with Maverick Marine, the owners of Stephens Race Bred Performance Boats, Skicraft and XFI Boats. 2012 saw the commencement of another qualification, this time in Marine Craft Construction which I successfully completed in 2015. Expanding my horizons further in the marine industry seen the opportunity to work for Malibu Boats from 2017.
GRECH DESIGN WAS BORN
Adding to my passion for the industry, in 2013 I launched my own business, Grech Design, specializing in illustration, graphics, conceptual art, rendering and other design related services. This has brought on a wealth of exposure to new elements that I’ve been able to effectively apply to myself, my business, and my employers. In the time that Grech Design has been, I’ve brought to life hundreds of automotive client’s ideas to life, gifted memories to lost cars, and more recently, been involved in the design branding of many major automotive events.
Professionally through my business, I have developed strong relationships and have collaborated with C.A.D Custom, Maskell's Customs and Classics, and NSR Automotive Interiors in Victoria. My artwork and passion has allowed me to personally meet some truly inspiring people, such as Chip Foose and Alan Moffat.
While very passionate about advancing my career, I have a strong passion for motorsport, either being behind the wheel racing or on the tools, motorsport has always been a part of my DNA.

I am passionately ambitious, and so in 2020 my wife and I made the move to the Gold Coast where I commenced a new full-time position as a 3D CAD designer at Riviera, Australia’s Premium Luxury Motor Yacht Builder. Where better to further learn and strengthen your industry skills than with a world class team!
In 2023, I celebrated my 10th year in business with Grech Design. Helping celebrate this milestone I was featured in the June issue of Cruzin Magazine. Australia's favourite hot rod and lifestyle magazine.
And from my early beginnings till to this day, I’ve progressively been finessing and perfecting skills and techniques and knowledge.
